A summer drive down south. Tucson to be exact. Our "mission" was a mission church. The San Xavier del bad Mission is located on the Tohono O'ogham reservation south of Tucson. This was my first visit to the church. Spanish missions are among my favorite style of architecture. It makes me feel like I am traveling abroad. The church is still used for Mass services. Currently, the inside of the church is being renovated so we didn't see much of the interior. Just seeing a stark white building sitting in the middle of the desert dirt was pretty amazing and worth the drive. A wedding here would be elegant and simply breathtaking!
