Happy New Year! I was in the mood for some self portraits. I had a new poncho and a new necklace. I had an awesome ponytail going. So, I set up the tripod and grabbed the shutter remote. I don't called them, "selfies," because I can't see what I need to adjust. It's just me and my shutter remote. I don't know what each photo will look like. I take anywhere between 10-20 shots, anymore than that it starts to get weird. Haha! I'm not looking for a perfect shot. I'm looking for pure joy. Even though the photo is not pinpoint sharp or my bangs not perfectly placed, like in this photo. Heck, I still love it. I like to move around and try to keep my hands busy. Sometimes I dance around. I have a bit of fun. Why not? No one is watching, right? The worst thing that could happen is your son walks by the den, gives a quizzical look and keeps walking. His bubble thought, "Mama being artsy again." Haha! So, go ahead and set-up that tripod and get creative. It's a bit of work but the rewards will be a priceless photo. Especially when you turn 80.
I found another poem I love. This goes out to my two main guys, O + E. With love, Mama.
