BOOKING:

How do potential wedding clients book? To start the process, please fill out the inquiry form found here. I then send over information about my Wedding Collections. I also schedule a coffee date so, we can get to know one another a bit more! If meeting up is not possible, then I schedule a phone call instead. When a decision is made to move forward with booking, I email the Agreement and the Invoice. I require a signed agreement and half of the amount (a non-refundable retainer) to hold your date. The other half is due a month before the wedding date. I book wedding couples six months to a year in advance. I also love a last minute elopement! I encourage you to email me for availability.

WHAT’S INCLUDED:

Each wedding collection includes my time and talent to photograph the event. My time to cull, process and enhance the images to meet my quality standards. My time to upload and organize your gallery. Each collection includes high-resolution jpeg files, an assistant/secondary photographer, a custom wedding timeline, a bridal guide, a style guide and a complimentary engagement session.

BRIDAL GUIDE:

After the retainer is received I send over The JH Bridal Guide. It’s filled with important information about your wedding day. The JH Style Guide is for your engagement session and has location suggestions, outfits suggestions, hair and makeup and much more! I also send out a questionnaire to get to know my couples. I have a style guide for portrait sessions as well.

ENGAGEMENT SESSION:

During the engagement session I meet up with my couples on location and we chat for a bit. I go over a few items like, flattering posing and demonstrating different prompts. Most importantly, to relax and have fun. That’s when the magic happens! So no worries. I got you! How long is the session? It can take up to two hours. We take frequent breaks to change lens, change outfits or move to a different spot. I schedule sessions two hours before sunset.

PROFESSIONAL PRINTS:

I’m a huge advocate for printed photographs. You choose which images to print. I provide clients with the best quality prints from one of the nation’s top printing labs. They are printing professionals who know exactly how to print my images. Clients are strongly encourage to purchase prints through their online gallery. Prints are shipped straight to the client’s home and take about a week. My one mission is to make the print ordering process easy and time saving!

GALLERY:

Culling, enhancements and processing takes 4 weeks to complete, sneak peeks in 24 hours and a blog post in 7 days. I email clients when their gallery is ready for viewing and for purchasing prints. I do not provide my original RAW negatives to clients. Wedding galleries are stored online for one year. Portrait galleries are stored for one month. There is a $19 fee per image for changes made after a final gallery has been delivered. There is a $49 fee to re-upload a previous expired gallery.

NUMBER OF IMAGES:

Every wedding is different, but for the most part I average 50-75 images per hour.

WHAT ELSE SHOULD YOU LOOK FOR IN A PHOTOGRAPHER?

Other than style and budget, I think every couple should connect with their photographer. I take time to get to know my couples and they get to know me as well. Building trust and communication is important so my clients can feel at ease. Plus, I feel the most creative when I know and understand my couples and vise-versa. A photographer is with you your entire wedding day, so you’ll want to feel comfortable and relaxed. Every client is different and no photographer is exactly the same.
