What to Expect

Booking a photo session should feel easy, fun, and stress-free. I try to keep my process simple, so you always know what’s coming next. Here’s a quick look at what happens from the moment you reach out to the day you receive your photos.

Step 1: The Inquiry

Everything starts when a potential client submits an inquiry through my website. After that, we connect via email or a quick phone call to discuss what you’re looking for and answer any questions.

Step 2: Reserving Your Session

Once you decide you’d like to book, I’ll send a follow-up email with a link to pay the retainer. This officially reserves your session date on my calendar.

Step 3: Session Planning

After your session is booked, I’ll send a few helpful things your way to make planning easier:

• A session prep guide with tips to help you get ready

• Location ideas for where we can take your photos

• A short questionnaire so I can learn more about what you’re hoping for in your photos

This helps me personalize the session and make sure we capture the moments that matter most to you.

Step 4: Final Details

About a week before your session, I’ll send the invoice for the remaining balance, which can be paid easily through my website.

You’ll also receive a session reminder email with all the important details like the meeting location and time.

Step 5: The Photo Session

On the day of your session, I’ll text you when I arrive so we know where to meet up.

I like to start sessions with a few simple poses to help everyone warm up and feel comfortable. From there, we’ll move around the location a bit. I love finding colorful backdrops, especially flowers, and chasing the best light, which helps create a beautiful variety of images. If you have another outfit, we can pause halfway for you to change.

• Grad sessions: about 1.5 hours with two outfits with the gap and gown.

• Family sessions: usually under 1 hour with one outfit.

Step 6: After the Session

After your session, I’ll let you know when your photos will be ready and show you some albums and wall art samples.

Once the photos are finished, you’ll receive a download link to your online gallery where you can easily access your images. If you’d like additional albums or wall art beyond what’s included, you can order those through me as well.

My goal is to make your session feel relaxed, fun, and full of color so you walk away with photos you truly love.
