Frequently Asked Questions

Choosing a photographer is personal. Below are a few common questions about my process and what it’s like to work together.

What type of photographer are you?
I’m a film photographer specializing in individual and personal brand portraits. My work is natural and refined, with soft film tones and a focus on imagery that feels both celebratory and calm.

Why do you use film?
Film photography is rooted in intention. Each frame is carefully composed, creating images that feel thoughtful and lasting. The film stocks I use produce soft tones and render skin beautifully, with a depth that digital often struggles to replicate. I work with a professional lab to preserve that character while making minimal edits. It’s a slower, more intentional process and part of what makes the final images feel meaningful.

What is it like to work with you?
Sessions are thoughtfully guided and relaxed with a calm, unhurried pace. I create a space where you feel at ease, offering gentle direction while allowing natural moments to unfold. The experience is celebratory and calm, resulting in images that feel true to you.

How long are photo sessions?
Most sessions last about ninety minutes, allowing an unhurried experience. Whether you choose one look or a couple of outfit changes, I guide the flow so everything feels easy and natural.

Are you my photographer?
If you’re drawn to imagery that feels serenely expressive, natural, and refined, with soft film tones and a sense of ease, we’ll likely be a beautiful fit.

How many photos will I receive?
Each image is created with care through a slower, more intentional process. Most galleries include 20–40 photographs, capturing both candid moments and thoughtfully guided portraits.

What should I wear?
Choose soft, natural tones for a look that feels refined and effortless. Muted colors and classic shades like navy, emerald, and cream photograph beautifully. Avoid overly bold or heavy colors.

Portrait photography is deeply personal. Lighting, chemistry, direction, and trust all play a role in creating meaningful photos. If my work resonates with you, I would be honored to create something beautiful together.
